“Ready For College” Package For Juniors and Seniors

Services provided for the “Ready for College” package may include the following:

  • At least fifteen virtual meetings held during the contract period covering the following topics and more; Initial Interview and Evaluation, Standardized Testing Strategy, High School Course Selection, Finalizing The College List, Main and Supplemental Essay Brainstorming and Revisions, College Application Completion, University-Specific Scholarship Applications, Honors College Applications, and Private Scholarship Advice.

  • Collect and review student’s educational and personal information. Explain the importance of standardized test scores, high school course selection, grades and class rank, extra-curricular and volunteer activities, and leadership roles. 

  • Grant student access to a customized digital software platform (Custom College Plan) for the contract period so the student can stay organized, update to-do list items, research colleges, and easily communicate with the Consultant.

  • Compile to-do lists with tasks specific to the student’s individual needs.  Monitor lists weekly and follow up with the student on all action items needing completion.

  • Provide complimentary access to two timed practice tests (one SAT and one ACT). The student will receive detailed diagnostic score reports to assist with standardized test prep.  Grammar practice materials are provided in the student’s Custom College Plan portal.  Develop an SAT and/or ACT test strategy. 

  • Provide access if needed to four surveys through the AchieveWorks suite of products – AchieveWorks Personality, AchieveWorks Intelligences, AchieveWorks Skills, and AchieveWorks Learning and Productivity.    Each assessment includes a comprehensive, personalized report. 

  • Research potential colleges and programs then build a list of colleges tailored to meet the needs, abilities, strengths, and interests of the student that also align with the needs of the family.

  • Brainstorm an appropriate essay topic and offer suggestions to assist in crafting a well-written composition which reflects the student’s personality and values. Review of two ‘main’ essays (up to 650 words) and five supplemental/shorter essays (up to 400 words) is included in the package.    

  • Critique of up to eight completed college applications before submission.

  • Advise student of important dates and deadlines regarding financial aid applications.

  • Provide student with information about university specific and public/private scholarships.

  • Review of acceptance offers and support with making the final enrollment decision. 

  • Unlimited phone, text, and email access are included throughout the contract period. 

“Getting College Ready” Package For Freshmen and Sophomores
Services provided for the “Getting College Ready” package may include the following:

  • At least five virtual meetings held during the contract period covering the following topics and more; Initial Interview and Evaluation, Demonstrated Interest, Grades, and Class Rank, Standardized Testing Strategy, High School Course Selection, Resume Building, Creation Of A Balanced College List, etc.

  • Collect and evaluate the student’s educational and personal information.

  • Discuss the importance of standardized test scores, high school course selection, grades and class rank, extra-curricular activities, volunteer service, summer planning, and leadership opportunities.

  • Compile to-do lists and provide a personalized plan of action for the student to follow to be prepared for the college application process.

  • Monitor and update to-do list items monthly and follow up with students on action items.

  • Grant student access to a customized digital software platform (Custom College Plan) for the contract period so the student can stay organized, update to-do list items, research colleges, and build an initial college list.

  • Research potential colleges and programs then assist in the development of a list of universities tailored to meet the needs, abilities, strengths, and interests of the student that also align with the needs of the family. Instruct the student to ‘demonstrate interest’ in selected schools.

  • Provide complimentary access to two timed practice tests (one SAT and one ACT). The student will receive detailed diagnostic score reports to assist with standardized test prep.  Grammar practice materials provided in the student’s Custom College Plan portal. Develop a testing strategy. 

  • Provide access if needed to four surveys through the AchieveWorks suite of products – AchieveWorks Personality, AchieveWorks Intelligences, AchieveWorks Skills, and AchieveWorks Learning and Productivity.    Each assessment includes a comprehensive, personalized report. 

  • Unlimited phone, text, and email access are included throughout the contract period.
